Once you find your dream home, make sure you complete a thorough inspection. It is recommended getting a building and pest inspections completed by a professional.

5. Have a strategy

You're ready to put an offer on a property, or maybe go to an auction. In either case you need to have a strategy, it helps to be able to answer these simple questions:
- how long has the property been on the market
- are there any other potential buyers
- how much are you willing to pay
